Job summary

Regent University is seeking a part-time Technical Production Assistant to support the Equipment Office and provide production support for field and studio productions on campus in Virginia Beach. You will set up, operate, and train users on production systems, help prepare equipment for shoots, maintain and troubleshoot gear, and assist with inventory and web pages.

This role emphasizes hands-on learning with faculty and students.

Qualifications

Must be a current Regent University MFA student in CTV.
Must have a satisfactory driving history.
Ability to set up and troubleshoot studio and field production equipment.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to mentor students and collaborate with faculty.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate and train for all production systems and equipment.
Assist in preparing equipment for productions across campus locations.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems and equipment including computers, servers, and software.
Prepare the Film Stage and TV studio for classes and productions.
Provide technical support on studio-related aspects to faculty and students.
Train students in proper production procedures with faculty.
Maintain inventory and keep equipment records in the Farmers Wife system.
Ensure studio and equipment web pages are current.
Assist with equipment purchases and upgrades.
Maintain communication with administration, staff, faculty, and clients to ensure satisfaction.
