Job summary

SUNY Niagara seeks a Graduate Intern in the Student Success Center to gain hands-on experience in academic advising and registration. The intern will work closely with a team of Student Success Coaches, the Career & Transfer Coordinator, and the Registration Coordinator, gaining exposure to a broad range of student support services in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a graduate program in student personnel administration or higher education/student affairs administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Receive one-on-one training regarding advisement and registration functions.
• Gain exposure to diverse student populations (new, transfer, readmit, continuing).
• Participate in SSC events such as registration sessions, Welcome Week tabling, career fairs, open houses, orientation.
• Support students by connecting them with other campus offices.
• Familiarize with Banner Web and Degree Works.
• Conduct outreach to registration-ready students.
