Duties
The Research Division undertakes empirical research related to the operation of the federal courts, often at the request of the Judicial Conference of the United States and its committees, specific courts, or other groups in the federal court system.
Responsibilities
The primary duties of the graduate student research assistant are to support Research Division project teams in designing and conducting social science research aimed at improving judicial administration in federal appellate, district, and bankruptcy courts. Specific tasks, under the guidance of a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate, may include:

Employment terms vary by semester, with summer commitments of at least 8 weeks at 30-39 hours/week, and 12-15 hours/week during spring/fall. Max hours per week: 39.
