Job summary

Stevens Institute of Technology seeks a Student Life Assistant Director for the Office of Graduate Student Life. The role designs and delivers programming that fosters professional growth and leadership for new graduate students, and oversees Arrival Services, housing, and airport pickup.

You will collaborate with Graduate Admissions and partners, support the Graduate Student Council, and advance initiatives that promote engagement, belonging, and access to campus resources.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in student affairs, with graduate student programming experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement weekly programming for new students focused on professional and leadership development.
• Manage Arrival Services, housing, and airport pickup operations.
• Coordinate the master’s Student Peer Mentor Program with leadership.
• Collaborate with departments to support student advancement, engagement, and belonging.
• Support graduate students in navigating campus resources and opportunities.
• Stay current with best practices in graduate student life and apply them to programs.
• Oversee office social media accounts.
• Serve as co-advisor for Graduate Student Council.
