Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas seeks a Graduate Student Assistant for Student Disability Services to support accommodations processing, exam administration, and student outreach.

You will use AIM, Banner, and Banner Self-Service to manage student records and generate reports; participate in program planning and awareness events; ensure FERPA compliance and ADA knowledge; and assist with communications between faculty and students.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled graduate student and registered for classes.

Responsabilités

• Assist students with the process of applying for accommodations.
• Meet with students regarding requested accommodations and make recommendations for review and approval.
• Process initial accommodation applications and renewal forms.
• Represent the Office of the Dean of Students at recruiting events and student orientation programs.
• Represent Student Disability Services at off-campus events as needed.
• Comply with FERPA requirements and maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Use AIM, Banner, and Banner Self-Service to maintain student information and generate reports.
• Greet visitors and provide information about services offered by the office.
• Assist with planning, promotion, and implementation of awareness programs.
• Administer exams and quizzes for students with testing accommodations.
• Communicate with faculty regarding testing accommodations and maintain exam security.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of ADA and related legislation.
• Complete required online training related to duties.
• Operate computers, iPads, and other equipment used for duties.
• Develop familiarity with assistive technology used to support students.
• Cross-train with other departments in the Office of the Dean of Students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
