Job summary

University of Nebraska Omaha is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the Service Learning Academy - Office of Engagement. The GA will support planning, coordination, and implementation of service learning projects in partnership with UNO courses, P–12 classrooms, after-school programs, and community organizations.

Qualifications

• Be admitted to and maintain full-time enrollment in a graduate degree program (minimum 6 graduate credit hours per semester).
• Strong communication, organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills as core requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support UNO faculty, P–12 teachers, and nonprofit partners in planning and implementing service learning projects.
• Coordinate service learning activities, including scheduling, event planning, and logistical support for courses and programs.
• Maintain accurate records, including data entry and online tracking of service learning activities.
• Assist with onboarding and training graduate assistants and student employees.
