Sul Ross State University in Alpine invites applications for a Graduate Research Assistant III (PhD) at the Borderlands Research Institute. The position is 20 hours per week and supports data collection, analysis, reporting, and coordination with faculty mentors on multiple research projects.

You will mentor undergraduate researchers, co-lead planning and data collection, communicate project status, and uphold FERPA and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 20 hours per week commitment.
• Ability to learn new skills with minimal supervision.
• Uphold FERPA and confidentiality in handling data and matters.

Responsabilités

• Assist faculty with collecting and analyzing data and reporting results on research projects.
• Mentor and assist other students as part of the research team; co‑lead planning, data collection, and data analysis.
• Communicate project status to the faculty mentor and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain personal safety and safe work practices while supporting investigations and publications.
