Job summary

Aerospace is seeking a Remote Sensing Architecture Graduate Intern to apply modeling and simulation tools to space-based sensing architectures across national security and civil programs.

You will join a team of mentors and interns for a 10-week, full-time program located in El Segundo, CA; Chantilly, VA; or Colorado Springs, CO. Requires active enrollment in a Master's or Ph.D. program and familiarity with Python, C++, or MATLAB, plus eligibility for US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in a graduate program (MS/PhD) or completed BS with internship start and enrolled in a graduate STEM degree program.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks.
• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Familiarity with astrodynamics or space operations.

Responsibilities

• Gaining knowledge in national security space/missions areas such as geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, space protection, or communications infrastructure.
• Provide analysis to support recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions of space-based sensing architectures.
• Perform architecture evaluation modeling of overall performance with in-house or custom tools.
• Collaborate with staff to translate customer needs into project objectives and provide technical evaluations.
• Develop and present timely, technically-accurate presentations and reports communicating results and recommendations.
• Aid in sustainment and growth of analysis and simulation capabilities across the organization.
