Penn State's Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the Eberly College of Science seeks an experienced administrative professional to serve as Academic Program Coordinator, which includes Graduate Program Coordinator duties. The role reports to the Administrative Support Manager and collaborates with the Associate Head of Graduate Education and Director of Graduate Affairs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 4+ years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• GED or HS diploma with 2+ years relevant experience.
• Background checks required; must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day administrative duties for the graduate program.
• Assemble and maintain confidential graduate files.
• Use LionPATH to manage admissions, drop/add, transcripts, audits.
• Coordinate onboarding of incoming graduate students.
• Monitor degree requirements for BMMB students.
• Coordinate recruitment materials and visits for prospective students.
• Assist with graduate funding allocations and budget tracking.
• Prepare and submit graduate scholarships and appointments each term.
• Coordinate all recruitment events with program director.
• Process travel reimbursements and travel awards for students.
