Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a self-motivated graduate engineer to join our studies team in Fargo, ND. You will perform power system studies for early‑phase renewable projects, interconnection applications, and NERC compliance, using PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD and related tools.

Your responsibilities include modeling, validation, and presenting study results to clients and internal teams, with opportunities to expand into other power system analysis areas as workload allows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Prior engineering internship required.
• Interest in steady-state and dynamic power flow studies.
• Ability to present results internally and externally.
• Ability to work with clients to identify projects and translate into consulting work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Willingness to develop a wide skillset for internal workload flexibility.
• Permanent authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform studies with PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD and other software.
• Study performance and create models; validate and benchmark for renewables.
• Present study results to clients and internal teams.
• Work with clients to identify new projects and translate into consulting services.
• Support other power system analysis, design and testing areas as workload allows.
