Job summary

CVS Health in the United States offers a Graduate Pharmacy Intern program designed to translate classroom learning into real-world practice under a pharmacist preceptor and district leaders. You will complete a 120‑day training roadmap, assist with prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, immunizations where allowed, and learn SOPs to support safe, efficient pharmacy operations and prepare for a Pharmacist role.

This role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, and supporting pharmacy team members
• Taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber, and calling the prescriber to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes, where allowed by state regulation
• Delivering additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing) where allowable by law and supported by training and certification
• Maintaining the highest level of self‑awareness and providing in‑the‑moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
