Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice and prepare for a Pharmacist role. Under a preceptor and district leadership, you will complete a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap across store, district, and regional operations.

You will deepen understanding of patient safety, error prevention, DUR, and professional standards while supporting pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate, and compassionate service to patients.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends
• Complete required training within designated timeframe
• Demonstrate empathy and genuine care while serving patients
• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and promptly
• Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify prescriptions where allowed by state regulation
• Support immunizations and point-of-care testing where lawful and trained
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed by the business
