Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams in retail locations. You will apply your didactic learning to real-world practice under preceptor guidance, following a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap to deepen understanding of store, district, and regional operations.

As you progress, you will assist with medication fulfillment, patient counseling, immunizations when allowed, and adherence to SOPs to ensure safe, compassionate service.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines; failure to obtain licensure may result in separation.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Contribute to patient safety and error prevention through SOPs and best practices.
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Provide counseling and immunization support as allowed by state regulations.
• Support pharmacy operations and inventory activities as directed by leadership
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed by the business
