Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply your didactic learning to real-world practice in our stores, preparing for a Pharmacist role under the guidance of your preceptor and district leader.

You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, deepen patient safety knowledge, and support the pharmacy team to ensure safe, timely, and accurate prescriptions while delivering caring service.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate from a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Attention and Focus: concentration on a task, pivot between tasks, ensure prescription labeling accuracy
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people, respond to patient reactions
• Communication Skills: clear verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues
• Mathematical Reasoning: calculate days supply and quantities
• Problem Resolution: handle challenging patient or colleague interactions
• Physical Demands: mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, visual acuity
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager
• Ability to immunize when certified and trained
