Job summary

Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC seeks a Spring 2027 Graduate Associate for Facility Operations to assist with administration, operations, and programming within Recreational Services. Compensation totals $7,091 for the semester, including hourly wages and a tuition waiver.

You will hire, train, and supervise student staff, prepare orientations, and coordinate promotions while supporting cross-campus partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with recreational facilities preferred.
• Enrollment in Winthrop University's Graduate School is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, supervising and evaluating student staff.
• Develop orientations and workshops to promote student development.
• Work flexible hours including nights and weekends for programming and events.
• Aid safety and risk management trainings and drills.
• Document inventory and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Create promotional materials and promote Recreational Services via social media.
• Collaborate with campus departments for cross-campus partnerships.
• Serve as a point of contact when professionals are absent.
• Attend staff meetings and assist in additional student staff hours.
