Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Pulmonary Unit on a part-time, day shift (7am-7pm). The nurse will collaborate with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists to deliver high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program with Georgia RN licensure; Bachelor's degree preferred and hospital experience is valued for PRN roles. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred for PRN positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate patient care activities to ensure quality nursing care.
• Maintain standards of practice and follow organizational policies and procedures.

The clinical staff on the growing Pulmonary Unit work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists and respiratory therapists to provide top-notch care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues.In the state-of-the-art new Main Tower, the Pulmonary nurse provides high-quality nursing care to acute care patients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The Pulmonary nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

• Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios
