Job summary

Alloyed seeks a Graduate / Early Careers NPI Engineer to drive the development of additive manufacturing components, applying DfM and optimizing build orientations using Alloyed’s software platform alongside industry-standard tools.

You will coordinate with manufacturing development, metrology, and design teams to ensure high-quality production-ready designs, while driving continuous improvement and delivering precise drawings and specifications for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, materials science or a related technical field.
  • Strong CAD/CAE skills with SolidWorks or equivalent.
  • Experience translating design intent into manufacturable parts and processes.
  • Exposure to additive manufacturing and metrology tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Apply DfM principles to guide machining stock, fixtures, and fixturing strategies.
  • Optimize build orientations and generate layouts to maximize AM efficiency and quality.
  • Develop distortion compensation to improve AM component accuracy.
  • Coordinate post-processing workflows to meet GD&T specifications and surface finishes.
  • Create detailed drawings and manufacturing specifications from customer data.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing and operations teams.
  • Communicate results to stakeholders and coordinate with outsourcing suppliers to ensure project delivery.
