Job summary

Crucible ETN in East Tennessee is seeking a Graduate Mining Engineer to launch a career in mining operations and engineering. The role starts with 12 months in the underground operation team, rotating through roles before transitioning to an engineering position.

You will create development, drilling, and blast plans; perform reconciliation reviews, and coordinate mining activities with the technical and operating teams. Strong safety focus and MSHA awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree majoring in Mining Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Current Driver's License.
• Preferably 1-year relevant experience in the mining industry or proof of mine site intern work.
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all engineering tasks.
• Awareness of the MSHA Act & Regulations.
• Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Promote and demonstrate safe behavior at all times.
• Demonstrate effective performance in achieving CHESS goals in support of the department, site and company standards.
• Participate in daily crew safety meetings.
• Initially spend 12 months with underground operation team, rotating through roles and then move to an engineering role.
• Create mining plans for development, drilling designs, blast plans, etc.
• Conduct post mining reconciliation reviews.
• Develop 7+21 schedules to coordinate mining activities and present to the team.
• Liaise with other members of the operational and technical team.
