Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN, seeks a Nursing Unlicensed professional to join our team on the 12 - Day shift. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision and ensure patient safety while documenting care in the medical record and updating plans of care as needed.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program (ASN/BSN) with official transcripts, BLS certification within orientation, and successful program completion.

Qualifications

• Unofficial transcript from an accredited school of nursing required to begin orientation.
• Completion of an accredited ASN/BSN program evidenced by official transcript or diploma and ATT authorization.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care as assigned by charge nurse/preceptor.
• Ensures patient safety.
• Documents delivery of patient care in medical records and updates plan of care.
• Performs and documents safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
• Communicates patient information to RN/Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager and other shifts promptly.
• Communicates with other departments using proper lines of communication.
• Performs secondary assessment on patients in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing.
