Job Summary

Geisinger offers a full-time Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, up to $40,000 in financial support to become an RN, competitive hiring rates, and up to $5 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Job Duties

• Contributes data to patient care assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Promotes safety, patient satisfaction, and exhibits compassionate care. Coordinates patient care and staff interaction. Meets qualifications to care for patients in the assigned unit.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policies.
• Evaluates nursing interventions based on patient responses.
• Collaborates with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary team members to address patient needs.
• Participates in evidence-based practice decision-making and provides input on team performance.
• Precepts and mentors new staff and students as assigned.

Work is performed in a clinical environment. The role requires compliance with organizational policies and additional competencies outlined in orientation.
