Job Description:

Contributes data to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Promotes adaptive responses of patient/family to achieve high-quality care, safety, and satisfaction. Exhibits compassionate care during interactions. Coordinates patient care and staff interaction. Meets qualifications to care for patients in your unit.

  • Contributes data to assessments as per scope of practice and standards.
  • Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs throughout care.
  • Reinforces education, discharge planning, and family needs during hospitalization.
  • Provides direct care including treatments, medications, and diagnostics per policy.
  • Evaluates nursing interventions based on patient responses.
  • Collaborates with physicians and team members to resolve and facilitate patient needs.
  • Participates in unit decision-making on evidence-based practice.
  • Provides input for performance appraisals of team members.
  • Precepts and mentors new staff and students professionally.
