Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers quality care within the scope of practice as outlined by the state nurse practice act. Responsible for delegated tasks, activities, and functions, and may assign duties to others as defined by their state of practice act. Provides monitoring of patients as directed by medical staff.

• Rotating Weekends
• Holiday Rotation

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate from an LPN program
• Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment
• Active CPR certification
• Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing practice
• Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies

Essential Functions

• Meet health needs of patients systematically
• Implement nursing care within scope of practice
• Develop and implement teaching plans for health promotion, maintenance, and restoration
• Care for wounds with appropriate cleaning and dressing
• Administer medications
• Provide care for multiple patients as directed
• Monitor vital signs and report changes
• Document actions in medical records
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned
