Job summary

Wellness Equity Alliance in Los Angeles is seeking a Graduate Internship Coordinator to lead a multi-disciplinary internship program and mentor students across MPH, MSW, MHA, MPP, MSN, MD, NP, and PA tracks.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Behavioral Health, Medical, Street Medicine, Public Health, Rural Health, and Tribal Health teams, with hybrid, part-time scheduling up to 24 hours weekly, and in-person engagement preferred in Southern California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years of internship program coordination or related workforce development experience.
• Familiarity with graduate-level accreditation standards across health disciplines.
• Proficiency with HRIS/ATS and placement management platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive graduate internship program across multiple disciplines.
• Manage the full internship lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding.
• Maintain accurate records of intern placements, agreements, and learning objectives.
• Develop and manage internship program calendars and application cycles.
• Cultivate relationships with academic partners and negotiate affiliation agreements/MOUs.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders across departments to support mentors and supervisors.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to interns navigating professional challenges.
• Identify pathways for post-internship opportunities and continued engagement.
• Track diversity, equity, and inclusion metrics within intern cohorts.
