Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC systems within sustainable built environments. You will collaborate with clients and architects, perform energy and thermal analyses, and document designs in Revit MEP.

As a graduate, you’ll develop your technical and communication skills, prioritize multiple tasks, and contribute to sustainability outcomes across projects in the U.S. market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Architectural Engineering, or Building Sciences.
• Coursework in heat transfer and thermodynamics, fluid dynamics or HVAC design.
• Developing interest in the built environment as a graduate.
• Proven leadership and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC services with an emphasis on sustainable design.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and consultants.
• Perform load calculations, energy analysis, façade thermal analysis and airflow modelling.
• Document design in Revit MEP and communicate technical ideas.
• Write reports detailing calculations, methods and assumptions.
• Prioritize work and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
• Influence design toward sustainability aligned with Arup goals.
• Present findings to colleagues and clients.
