East Texas A&M University is hiring a Graduate Assistant, Hearing Officer for the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities. The role involves adjudicating student conduct cases, hearings, and managing sanctions through the Maxient system, with a focus on educational and restorative outcomes.

The position is on campus, requires a current master's student, and includes a 9-month assistantship at $13.33 per hour plus tuition/fees covered for up to six credits per semester.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate cases and hold hearings for Code of Student Conduct violations.
• Support case management via Maxient online conduct database.
• Manage and review sanctions submitted to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
• Implement and support preventative and educational programs and opportunities.
• Create and administer sanctions incorporating education and restorative elements.
• Support training and education initiatives for campus partners.
