Job summary

Halff in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer focused on Transportation Design for roadway and highway projects. You will support design tasks under a Professional Engineer and gain exposure to the full lifecycle of transportation projects.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree (ABET), EIT, strong communication skills, and 2–4 years related experience. This role offers growth, mentorship and ownership potential within Halff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent.
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain.
  • 2–4 years transportation design experience.
  • Knowledge of roadway design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design roadway & highway engineering projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
  • Assist in preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Coordinate with team members, subconsultants, surveyors and contractors
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

Halff has an immediate opening for a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Fort Worth, TX location. The position will be for a Civil Engineer interested in Transportation Design for roadway & highway design projects. What You Will Do
  • Design roadway & highway engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
  • Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Coordinate with other team members, including subconsultants, surveyors and contractors
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Driving Record
  • EIT Certificate
  • Great communication skills
  • Solid relationship and team building skills
  • Self-motivated and strong organization skills
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Transportation Design for roadway & highway design projects
  • Experience in OpenRoads Designer
  • Knowledge of applicable roadway standards and methods
