Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) within one year
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • 0–3 years in transportation/roadway design
  • Experience with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer
  • Knowledge of traffic engineering/ITS and roadway standards

Responsibilities

  • Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Perform calculations and analyses for design projects
  • Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors and contractors

Job description

Halff has an immediate opening for a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Richardson, TX location. The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in roadway & highway design projects. What You Will Do
  • Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
  • Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors and contractors
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Driving Record
  • The ability to obtain an EIT Certificate within one (1) year
  • Great communication skills
  • Solid relationship and team building skills
  • Self-motivated and strong organization skills
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in Transportation Design for roadway & highway design projects
  • Experience in MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer
  • Knowledge of applicable traffic engineering/ITS, and roadway standards and methods
