Job summary

Dominion Energy offers a graduate internship in Electric Distribution Grid Planning Engineering, based in Richmond, VA, with a hybrid schedule (office and telework). You will support GRID planning analytics, build Python scripts, and contribute to load flow and voltage analyses under experienced engineers.

The role targets graduate students in electrical engineering with power systems focus, strong Python skills, and a 3.0+ GPA, graduating Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a graduate degree in electrical engineering with power systems focus.
• Strong academic or research background in electric power systems, distribution planning, or related topics.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, scripting, and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Support distribution grid planning, modeling analytics, and data analysis efforts.
• Develop Python scripts to automate data processing, model inputs/outputs, and reporting workflows.
• Assist with load flow, voltage analysis, reliability studies, and forecasting for grid planning.
