Job summary

Arup in Chicago seeks a Graduate Electrical Engineer to design electrical power systems for buildings and infrastructure. You will contribute to lighting, grounding, short-circuit studies, and photometric calculations using AGI, Revit MEP, and SKM tools.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, gain exposure to client interactions, and develop technical reports while advancing your career in a global consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on power systems for buildings and infrastructure.
• EIT/FE certification preferred as a pathway to professional licensure.
• Coursework in building systems design and electrical power systems design.
• Experience with Revit MEP, AGI 32, SKM Power Tools is preferred.
• Internship or work experience in a consulting firm focusing on buildings electrical power system design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting and grounding for buildings and infrastructure.
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load and arc flash studies.
• Make lighting photometric calculations using AGI.
• Assign circuitry for Power and Lighting devices.
• Prepare technical reports and calculations.
