Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer in Austin to design power distribution, lighting, and grounding for buildings and infrastructure with sustainability in mind. You will perform short circuit and coordination studies, lighting calculations, and prepare technical reports while using Revit MEP and SKM in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, demonstrate interest in power systems for built environments,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Interest in electrical power systems for buildings and infrastructure.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting and lighting controls for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load and arc flash studies.
• Conduct lighting photometric calculations using AGI.
• Assign circuitry for power and lighting devices.
• Prepare technical reports and calculations.
• Work on projects using Revit MEP and SKM.
• Develop reports and electrical calculations.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and vendors to gain knowledge.
• Attend meetings with other disciplines and architects to learn.
