Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC seeks an Electrical Distribution Associate Graduate Engineer in Missoula, Montana. This entry-level role provides contract engineering support to a local electric and gas utility, assisting with capacity upgrades, system rebuilds, and relocation of infrastructure.

You will design engineering systems, generate documents with DDS and GIS tools, and manage projects end-to-end while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT Certification preferred.
• 0–4 years of experience in engineering or related field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in teams.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utilities in compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Develop and document engineering deliverables using DDS, GIS, Trimble, and asset management tools.
• Manage design lifecycle from initiation to project closeout and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Perform field walkdowns and support permitting and easement processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address diverse engineering challenges.
