Buro Happold in the United States is seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Civil Infrastructure Team in New York or Los Angeles for Summer 2027. You will contribute to the design and delivery of sustainable engineering solutions while developing your technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
• Internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn new tools and methods.

Responsibilities

• Under guidance, assist in the design and analysis of infrastructure projects.
• Support planning and coordination tasks, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of drawings, reports, and models.
• Take ownership of learning and development activities, seeking feedback and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with team members across disciplines.
• Develop an understanding of client needs and contribute to presentations and reports with clarity and professionalism.
• Ensure work is reviewed before issue and complies with internal quality standards.
• Explore new tools and technologies and understand their application in project delivery.
• Support integration of sustainable practices into designs aligned with environmental commitments.
• Gain insight into how engineering informs broader planning and policy decisions through research and analysis support.
