Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Graduate Civil Engineer to join the SUE/UC group, contributing to subsurface utility projects through design, analysis, and coordination.

You will assist with field investigations, prepare plans and reports using CAD, review maps and survey data, and collaborate with project teams to support cost estimates and construction specifications. The role provides hands-on experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D, with opportunities to obtain Texas

Qualifications

• FE exam in progress or will be within 6 months
• Texas EIT license or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment
• Knowledge of MicroStation V8i and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
• Civil Engineering degree required

Responsibilities

• Support SUE/UC projects through design, analysis, documentation, and coordination
• Assist with subsurface utility investigation, mapping, conflict analysis, and relocation efforts
• Prepare SUE plans, drawings, exhibits, calculations, and reports using CAD
• Review survey data, maps, aerial imagery, and project information to support design decisions
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, utility owners, contractors, and stakeholders
• Assist with design specifications and construction cost estimates
• Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Perform field observations and review construction for conformance with plans and specs
• Support multiple projects while maintaining quality, schedules, and requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned
