Job summary
LJA is seeking a Graduate Engineer for its Land Development team in Austin, TX. You will use AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office and other tools to support feasibility studies, cost estimates, exhibits, construction plans and bidding packages for public and private clients.
The role emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration with engineers, and growth within an employee-owned environment, with opportunities to develop specialty skills in water resources and site design.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering
- FE Exam passed or taking
- Experience with civil engineering design and production tools is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical experts to perform design calculations and generate drawings/exhibits
- Expand engineering toolbox with advanced techniques and industry concepts
- Investigate existing site conditions and constraints to inform design iterations
- Support project managers with documentation and client communications
