Cognitioworld in Akron, OH is seeking a civil/architectural/environmental engineering assistant to join our design team. You will gather data, perform design calculations, and help prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for project development.

You will use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit or ArcGIS to create drawings, review plans for accuracy, and coordinate tasks with internal teams. Strong communication and willingness to learn are essential in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• Experience working with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, ArcGIS, or other relevant software.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the collection and analysis of data to support project development.
• Perform design calculations and investigative analyses to complete assigned tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documents.
• Use CAD software (AutoCAD or MicroStation) to develop design drawings.
• Review project plans and documentation for technical accuracy and conformance to standards.
• Help schedule and coordinate tasks to meet project timelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to design reviews.
• Maintain organized project files and design documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
