Job summary

Arup in San Francisco is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to support the civil engineering team with layout, design and analysis using Civil 3D, HydraFlow and EPANET. You will research codes, coordinate across disciplines, and engage with stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions across planning, design and construction phases.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, have CAD experience, and demonstrate strong communication, organization, and proactive

The opportunity

• Use Civil 3D software to layout roads, drainagesystemsand utility systems as well as site grading and earthwork designs

• Use Hydraulic modeling tools such asHydraflowand EPANET to analyze and design stormwater, sanitary, potable water systems, and flood protection systems

• Research and apply codes,specificationsand standards for design of the above elements

• Coordinate with other disciplines to apply skills in delivering sustainable outcomes

• Apply understanding of all phases of the planning,designand construction process

• Research requirements of regulatory environment for gaining approval atdifferent stagesof project delivery

• Engage with project stakeholders and clients to develop designs thatmeetsneeds and concerns

• Support development of report writing, calculation packages, and specifications

San Francisco Hiring Range – Hiring Range- The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performedin San Francisco is $79,500 to $86,500 per year. This range iscommensuratewith experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco will differ.
