Pennoni is hiring Graduate Bridge Engineers to join our collaborative, fun team in the Transportation Design Hub at our Baltimore Camden Yards office on a full-time, direct basis. The role focuses on structural analysis/design for bridges and related structures across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities include NBIS inspections in MD and nearby states, producing technical writing for reports and specifications, and supporting multi-disciplinary projects for agencies such as MDTA, DDOT,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• FE/EIT required.
• Microstation or AutoCAD experience.
• Bridge inspection experience and technical writing is a plus.
• Exposure to structural analysis programs (STAAD, LEAP, LEAP Concrete, AASHTOWare, BrR, BRASS, SAP/CSI, etc.) is a plus.
• Exposure to modeling tools, especially BrIM or BIM work processes, is a plus.

Job Description - Graduate Bridge Engineer

Pennoni is hiring! Pennoni is looking for passionate Graduate Bridge Engineers to join our collaborative, fun team on a full time, direct basis in Pennoni's Transportation Design Hub located in our Baltimore Camden Yards office with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with the structural analysis and/or design of Bridges (Highway & Railroad), Culverts, Retaining Walls, and Overhead Sign Structures on a variety of projects (bridge replacement/rehabilitation, highway improvement, etc.); this includes multi-disciplinary projects for MDSHA, MDTA, DDOT, DelDOT, PennDOT, VDOT and other agencies/bridge owners throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
• Perform NBIS Bridge inspections in Maryland as well as the surrounding states (with occasional opportunities for domestic travel).
• Produce high-quality technical writing for use in bridge inspection reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents.
• Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

Required Attributes

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline (e.g.: Structural Engineering, etc.).
• FE / EIT Required
• Microstation or AutoCAD experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bridge inspection experience, especially with technical writing for reports, is a plus.
• Exposure to structural analysis programs (e.g.: STAAD, LEAP Bridge, LEAP Concrete, AASHTOWare, BrR, BRASS, SAP/CSI, etc.) is a plus!
• Exposure to modeling tools, especially BrIM or BIM work processes, is a plus.
• GIS experience a plus.
• Proficiency on basic office software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to collaborate with our team while demonstrating a self-motivated demeanor and effective multi-tasking skills.
• Proven ability to learn and apply new skills while simultaneously seeking / seizing opportunities to improve work products.
• Willingness to interact in the Engineering community at large via membership in relevant professional societies.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

Target Salary Range

TARGET SALARY RANGE: $60K - $70K (per year)
