Buro Happold is seeking a Graduate BIM & Computational Designer to join our Building Environments team in a learning-focused role. Start with foundational BIM skills and progress into emerging technologies, mentored by industry experts on projects including sustainable buildings and smart systems.

This role emphasizes collaborative delivery, training, and exploring AI, digital twins, and new software as part of a forward-looking design practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• Familiarity with BIM modelling software such as Revit.
• Interest and/or experience in visual programming (Dynamo, Grasshopper), coding (Python, C#).
• Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner.
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and provide technical support to project teams in developing and managing BIM models using Revit.
• Participate in the input of geometry and data into BIM models.
• Develop and maintain Revit content libraries through the creation of families and learning documentation standards.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal BIM standards and templates.
• QA pre-issue and QA post-issue construction documents to uphold design standards.
• Engage with cloud-based collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Assist in training and mentoring team members in BIM and computational design tools.
• Develop automated solutions to augment and enhance BIM processes.
• Contribute to the open-source platform BHoM (bhom.xyz).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across a global practice.
• Review emerging technologies and industry-wide BIM design applications.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 19650.
• Participate in EDI and OH&S initiatives.
