Job summary

Buro Happold seeks a Graduate BIM & Computational Designer to learn foundational BIM skills and grow into automation and digital design. You will work with a global team on projects spanning sustainable buildings, smart systems, and innovative Building Environment solutions.

Expect mentorship from industry experts while contributing to design standards, templates, and open-source initiatives. The role balances learning with hands-on project delivery in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• Familiarity with BIM modelling software such as Revit.
• Interest and/or experience in visual programming (Dynamo, Grasshopper), coding (Python, C#).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and provide technical support to project teams in developing BIM models using Revit.
• Input geometry and data into BIM models.
• Develop and maintain Revit content libraries and learning documentation standards.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal BIM standards and templates.
• QA pre-issue and QA post-issue construction documents to uphold design standards.
• Engage with cloud-based collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Assist in training and mentoring team members in BIM and computational design tools.
• Develop automated solutions to enhance BIM processes.
• Contribute to our open-source platform BHoM (bhom.xyz).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across a global practice.
• Review emerging BIM technologies and ISO 19650 standards.
