Buro Happold Limited is seeking a BIM & Computational Intern to join our Building Environments design team. Learn digital design, automation, and collaborative project delivery while contributing to innovative projects.

You'll work with mentors on BIM, MEP, and emerging technologies, gaining hands-on experience on projects like the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and Mercedes Benz Stadium, with hybrid working and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associates degree or higher in Architecture or Engineering with BIM background.
• Familiarity with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit preferred.
• Basic understanding of MEP systems and their integration in building design.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in visual programming (Dynamo, Grasshopper) and coding (Python, C#).

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and modifying 3D BIM models for MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate and efficient modeling practices.
• Support coordination and clash detection, identifying and resolving conflicts between MEP systems and other building elements.
• Participate in design review meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
• Assist in producing drawings, schedules, and reports derived from the BIM model.
• Support maintaining and organizing BIM files, adhering to company standards and best practices.
• Engage in learning opportunities to expand knowledge of BIM software, MEP design principles, and industry trends.
• Develop automated solutions to augment and enhance our BIM processes.
• Contribute to our open-source coding platform BHoM (bhom.xyz).
