Job summary

TikTok's Trust and Safety engineering team builds data platforms to protect users and enable scalable moderation. You will contribute to data architecture, data integration, and governance supporting risk insights and BI analytics.

As a senior contributor, you will optimize storage and compute, advance real-time/offline processing, and mentor teammates in a fast-growing environment in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Experience with programming languages: C++, Python, Java.
• Proficient with server tech stack in distributed/high concurrency contexts.
• Experience with big data systems: Spark, Flink, ClickHouse, HBase.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with data insight and ML/stats preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the overall architecture design of the data application platforms of the TnS, formulating data application architecture specifications and leading the team to implement them.
• Optimize the data application architecture to improve stability, efficiency, and reduce storage and compute costs.
• Design and implement data integration, offline and real-time development, data governance, and BI analysis.
• Establish technical influence, mentor teammates, and improve R&D capabilities.
