Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Backend Software Engineer Graduate in Seattle to join the Risk & Response team. This role offers a 2027 start and involves building scalable data platforms, improving system stability, and collaborating across teams on data governance and BI analyses.

You will contribute to architecture design, work with Spark, Flink, and other big data tools, and develop skills in a fast-paced, global tech environment. A strong foundation in CS and coding is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Experience with software development in C++, Python, or Java.
• Proficiency in distributed/high-concurrency server stacks.
• Experience with big data systems (Spark, Flink, ClickHouse, HBase).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with data insight/machine learning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in architecture design and implementation of data application platforms for Trust and Safety.
• Improve architecture stability, efficiency, and cost of storage, computation and services.
• Design and implement data integration, offline/real-time development, data governance, and BI analysis.
• Mentor teammates and strengthen R&D capabilities inside the department.
