5 Hour Position

Academic Year: 2025-2026

Supervisor: Carrie Pyeatt, Director of Student Services/Registrar

Appointment: September 2025 – July 2026

Stipend/Payment: $20.15/hour

Hours: 5 hours per week

10 Hour Position

Academic Year: 2025-2026

Job Description

The Graduate Assistant supports the Director of Student Services/Registrar in order to provide high quality student services. Reporting directly to the Director of Student Services/Registrar, the graduate assistant will assist with both admissions and student services functions including but not limited to processing admission packets, supporting student service initiatives, data entry, researching best practices, processing confidential paperwork, assisting with new student orientation and graduation planning and execution.

Position Responsibilities
  • Oversee select processing of Admissions paperwork
  • Attend educational and community building events, open houses and graduate fairs as needed and available
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new student services
  • Assist with graduation planning, preparation and execution
  • Assist with the implementation of student service initiatives
  • Implement detail-oriented projects in Empower
  • Process and catalog confidential student records
Position Qualifications

An individual applying for the position must meet the following qualifications:

  • Incoming or current PsyD student in good academic standing
  • Available to work the number of weekly hours required for the position
  • Work with a high level of discretion and confidentiality to maintain professional/student boundaries
  • Strong writing, research, technical and organization/administrative skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to include written and verbal communication
  • Ability to network with other professionals and students
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed and autonomous, strong work ethic
  • Reliable and flexible
