Job summary

American University in Washington, DC seeks a Graduate Admissions Coordinator to manage day-to-day outreach and guide prospective students through the graduate admissions process for on-campus and online programs.

Under the supervision of the Director of Graduate Program Operations, you will process applications, coordinate financial aid workflows, and collaborate with ISSS for international student visas while supporting recruitment and yield activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, training, or equivalent with experience in MS Office applications.
• 1–3 years of front-line customer service in higher education or similarly busy setting.
• Experience with databases and web-based research; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for prospective graduate students via email, phone, chat, and other channels.
• Process graduate applications and manage enrollment communications and onboarding materials.
• Coordinate fellowship/merit aid processes and ISSS visa-related documentation with stakeholders.
