Job summary

Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering seeks an Admissions Officer I to join the Admissions, Recruiting, and Marketing team in Durham. You will help recruit and enroll students into MEM, MEng, and MS programs, serving as the primary contact for prospective students and guiding them through the admissions process from interest to enrollment.

You'll travel extensively for recruitment events, build relationships with partners and applicants, manage admissions processing, and use Slate data

Qualifications

• Generally requires a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, or related field.
• Experience building relationships with prospective students, applicants, partners, or other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven recruitment.
• Strong communication and the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recruitment and yield activities to achieve graduate enrollment goals.
• Represent Pratt at recruitment fairs, conferences, undergraduate institutions, webinars, virtual events, and other outreach opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, applicants, alumni, and institutional partners while providing exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate logistics and support execution of recruitment initiatives, including admitted student events, virtual programming, and recruitment travel.
• Process applications, verify materials, support admissions reviews, decisions, and assist with international student visa documentation.
• Monitor recruitment and admissions data in Slate and other systems, maintain data integrity, analyze trends, and provide reporting for strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with marketing and recruitment teams to develop communications and outreach campaigns.
• Serve as a resource for prospective students by responding to inquiries and providing timely information.
