Job summary

Post University is seeking a Graduate Admissions Advisor in Waterbury, CT for its accelerated degree programs. The role focuses on timely, customer-focused responses to inquiries and guiding prospective students toward online and evening/weekend options.

You will engage mainly by phone, with occasional in-person interviews, and collaborate with Financial Aid and Student Information to support enrollment and advising needs. A strong sales and service background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s Degree preferred or in progress.
• Experience in higher-education admissions and/or recruiting with a consultative sales approach.
• Prior sales, call center, customer service, and/or marketing experience is a plus.
• Superior relationship-building, teamwork, and communication skills with excellent phone presence.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet applications, and database software.
• Self-starter with ability to multitask.
• Team-oriented and objective-focused.
• Flexible to adapt to a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Foster the Post culture and collaboration across University teams.
• Promptly respond to student inquiries regarding Post University and programs.
• Conduct telephone and in-person interviews to match online degree programs to goals.
• Follow up with applicants and record results in the database for enrollment
• Assist students with financing and advising needs in coordination with Financial Aid.
• Participate in student registration and activities to promote awareness, retention, and success.
• Meet and ideally exceed enrollment goals.
• Attend weekly team meetings and share best practices.
• Understand policies, procedures, and laws regarding higher education enrollment.
• Data entry of enrollment information and related documentation.
