Job Description:

Reporting to the Dean of Graduate Admission, the Graduate Admission Counselor is responsible for supporting all facets of the graduate admission and recruitment process. The Graduate Admission Counselor plays a vital role in helping prospective graduate students navigate their admission journey from the first point of contact to becoming an enrolled student. This position is primarily based on our Bristol Campus with occasional remote opportunities. Some local travel for recruiting purposes within the U.S. and abroad may be required.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Recruitment/Enrollment:
  • Support initiatives aimed at nurturing and supporting prospective graduate students through the enrollment process.
  • Provide excellent student services through timely responses to emails, calls, and meeting requests.
  • Advise students about program benefits, admission requirements, and financial aid/scholarship options.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective students via phone, email, or text regarding program details and application status.
  • Coordinate campus visits, including tours, faculty meetings, and class visits.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Assistant Director of Admission to ensure program materials are current and available.
  • Make presentations about RWU graduate programs, admission processes, and financial aid.
  • Operations:
    • Maintain recruitment data in the CRM and application systems.
    • Track enrollment metrics and analyze recruitment data for effectiveness.
    • Update students on application statuses and support their enrollment process.
    • Assist with processing application documents and maintaining the CRM system.
  • Event Planning & Execution:
    • Assist in planning and executing recruitment events, including managing logistics and materials.
    • Represent RWU at college fairs and professional conferences.
  • Additional Functions:
    • Participate in special projects or assignments as directed by the Dean of Graduate Admission.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field.
    • At least one year of professional experience.
    • Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and email systems; ability to learn new programs.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, and multitask.
    • Willingness to work beyond traditional hours, including weekends, and travel domestically and internationally.
    • Valid driver's license.
    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience in admission, marketing, sales, customer service, or student advising is preferred; related experience may be considered.

    Note: Education and experience prerequisites may be waived if the candidate demonstrates equivalent qualifications.
