Your Role as an Admissions Advisor

As a Post University Admissions Advisor, you are a key player in the success stories of countless students. Your role involves guiding, motivating, and strategizing to inspire prospective students to see their potential within Post University’s online programs. Essential Accountabilities

  • Achieve exceptional student engagement, commitment, and readiness results through an insightful and innovative approach.
  • Function as the first point of contact, conducting Professional College Advisory Sessions by phone to help prospective students explore their interests and align with suitable programs.
  • Deliver timely responses to inquiries, build lasting relationships, and foster trust and excitement about students’ academic journeys.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity in documenting student enrollment information to contribute to a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Financial Aid, Student Services, and Academic Advising teams to provide comprehensive support for non-traditional students.
  • Participate in student-focused activities promoting awareness, retention, and success, supporting students throughout their time at Post.
  • Set and exceed individual and team enrollment goals, continually striving to make a memorable impact on students’ lives.
  • Contribute to team discussions on sales practices and strategies that enhance performance.
  • Foster respect and partnership across all departments, embodying Post University’s mission and behaviors.
  • Attend training and apply new learnings effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred, or a blend of experience and education demonstrating readiness.
  • Excellent communication skills, polished and articulate as a Post representative.
  • High integrity and self-drive.
  • Culturally progressive mindset, nurturing the organization’s evolving environment.
  • Experience in admissions, customer service, or consultative sales with a focus on building meaningful connections.
  • Exceptional phone presence and personal connection skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant database software.
  • Flexibility to work weekend hours as needed.
  • Receptive to developmental feedback.

Remote Work Requirements:

  • This position offers remote work options. Candidates must connect equipment directly to their home router (Post provides a 50-foot Ethernet cable; no wireless connections). Minimum internet requirements include 25 Mbps download, 15 Mbps upload, and latency below 40 ms. Test at www.speedtest.net (select Boston, MA–Comcast).
  • Candidates are responsible for ensuring their internet meets these standards before starting. A dedicated, quiet workspace at home is also required.
