Job summary

AMI Construction, Inc. is seeking a Grading Superintendent to oversee grading operations, lead Foremen and field crews, and coordinate daily activities, equipment, and resources to meet project goals. The role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

You will read plans, supervise safety, review production reports, and collaborate with Project Managers to keep projects on track. Weekend availability and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of grading, surveying, and finish grading.
• Leadership experience managing multiple crews.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Experience operating a motor grader is preferred.
• Comfortable using iPads, iPhones, and computers.
• Available to work weekends (Saturdays).
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and supports Grading Foremen and field crews.
• Coordinates daily schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications.
• Leads jobsite safety initiatives, conducts safety meetings, and promotes compliance with company policies.
• Reviews daily production reports, labor, and equipment usage.
• Reads and interprets plans, blueprints, and grade information.
• Communicates with Project Managers and other team members to keep projects on schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
