Job summary

JT Russell & Sons in Albemarle, NC seeks a Full Time Grading/Pipe Foreman to lead grade and pipe crews on highway construction projects. Onsite position with a competitive salary of $75,000–$85,000 DOE, plus comprehensive benefits.

You will supervise crews, read plans, ensure safety, coordinate with management and DOT personnel, and maintain records of time, materials and equipment. Valid driver’s license and 3+ years' foreman experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Grade/Pipe Foreman in heavy civil/highway work.
• Well-organized with strong communication with management and crew.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Willing to perform some manual labor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise grade and pipe crew members.
• Train crew on protocols and safety measures.
• Maintain daily records of crew time, materials, and equipment.
• Read and interpret project plans to determine needs.
• Operate pipe laying equipment and oversee maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Communicate with foremen, subcontractors, and DOT personnel.
